Education Hub Inauguration
January 26, 2022On the Republic Day (26th January) we inaugurated our Education Hub near Kuki Dam area at Jhalda in Purulia.
Kishalay Foundation is a non-profit social development organization working to improve lives in remote and underprivileged rural communities of India, especially in West Bengal’s Sundarbans and other economically backward areas such as Purulia and Murshidabad. We also have present in the state of Jharkhand since 2024.
Founded on 23 August 2013 by a team of social entrepreneurs led by Biplab Das, the Foundation was established with a belief that quality early education, nutrition, and basic healthcare can transform the future of rural children and communities.
Our headquarters is in Sonarpur, Kolkata, West Bengal (India) with regional operating centers in rural clusters such as Godkhali and Gosaba in the Sundarbans. We also operate programs in districts including South 24 Parganas, North 24 Parganas, Purulia, and Murshidabad, Silli block of Jharkhand
The leadership team of Kishalay Foundation is guided by Biplab Das, the Founder & Chief Functionary, who drives the vision and strategic growth of the organization. Jhilam Nandi, Co-Founder, leads partnerships, communication, and outreach initiatives to expand the foundation’s impact. The Directors, Tulana Das and Sipra Das Maity, ensure strong governance and effective implementation of programs. Saurabh Kumar, Advisor, provides valuable guidance on strategy, technology, and innovation. Manas Maity, Chief Operating Officer (COO), oversees daily operations and ensures smooth coordination of field programs.

We tried our level best to help some of the poor meritorious students in Sundarban area.
Nutrition program being organised at our Satjelia Edukids centre in Gosaba block involving 110 children and mother in Sunderban region.
